1. Introduction
We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how PhotoToCalendar ("the App") collects, uses, and discloses information using the services mentioned below. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.
2. Data Collection and Usage
2.1. Image Processing & AI (Google Gemini)
To convert your photos into calendar events, the App transmits the image data to Google Gemini (Generative AI) for analysis.
- No Storage: We do not store your photos on our own servers. The images are processed ephemerally solely for the purpose of extracting event details.
- Third-Party Processing: The analysis is performed by Google's AI models. Neither we (the developers) nor any other third party has access to view your personal photos during this process outside of this automated analysis.
2.2. Calendar Access
The App requests permission to access your device's calendar.
- Purpose: This permission is strictly used to add (write) new events that you confirm.
- No Data Mining: We do not read, collect, analyze, or transmit your existing calendar entries to any server.
2.3. User Identification (Firebase)
We use Google Firebase Authentication and Firestore to manage user accounts.
- Anonymous ID: The App assigns an anonymous unique identifier (UID) to your device to track your "Credits" balance.
- Credits: This ensures that your purchased credits are associated with your instance of the App.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services which may collect data as per their own privacy policies:
- Google AdMob: Used to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers to show personalized or non-personalized ads.
- RevenueCat: Used to process and manage in-app purchases and subscriptions.
- Google Firebase: Used for backend infrastructure and authentication.
- Google Gemini API: Used for AI image analysis.
4. Data Security
We do not store personal data like names, emails, or photos on our servers. All transactions regarding Credits are handled securely through the respective App Stores and verified via RevenueCat.
PART 2: TERMS OF USE (EULA)
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using the App, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, strictly do not use the App.
2. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
The App uses artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) to interpret text and details from images.
- Accuracy Disclaimer: AI models are not 100% accurate. The App may misinterpret dates, times, locations, or descriptions.
- User Responsibility: You acknowledge that it is your sole responsibility to verify and correct the event details before saving them to your calendar.
- No Liability: We are not responsible for any missed appointments, incorrect scheduling, or any consequences resulting from errors made by the AI analysis.
3. Credits and In-App Purchases
To expedite the event creation process, users can purchase "Credits".
- Purchase Method: Credits can be purchased when your balance is insufficient during the event submission process.
- Payment Processing: Payments are processed securely via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store using the RevenueCat infrastructure. We do not handle or store your credit card information.
- Final Sale: All purchases are final. Refunds are subject to the policies of the respective Store (Apple or Google).
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of PhotoToCalendar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of data, missed events, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the App.
5. Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to modify the pricing of products/credits or discontinue the App (or any part thereof) without prior notice.
