🚶‍♂️🏛️ Discover the historical sites of Athens with the “Virtual Street Museum” app! 🗺️🔍

🌟 In this groundbreaking augmented reality application, I worked as the lead developer. This project was implemented in collaboration with the Department of Cultural Heritage Management and New Technologies of the University of Patras, DIPYLON, COMMONSPACE, and supported by the B. & M. Theocharakis Foundation for the Fine Arts & Music. Through the app, you can enjoy a unique virtual tour experience. 🎓 The app offers a personalized experience based on:

  • The user’s location.
  • The available time.
  • The types of archaeological sites they want to see.

One of the most significant challenges of this project was:

  • Developing a smart algorithm that checks the nearest sites to the user and suggests the optimal route with selected points of interest.
  • Introducing and managing the cultural content to ensure it is easily updatable by the relevant authorities.
