MyVoice
A personalised visual-audio communication app for people with speech difficulties and young children learning familiar objects and words.
Project overview
MyVoice supports people who find speaking difficult and gives young children a playful way to identify familiar objects and practise pronunciation. Users, parents or caregivers build a personal visual-audio dictionary from the people, places, objects and needs that matter in everyday life.
Approach
Instead of imposing a fixed vocabulary, the app pairs chosen images with familiar voice recordings. Selecting an image enlarges it and immediately plays its sound, keeping the interaction direct, recognisable and easy to understand.
Experience
The library can grow over time and adapt to different routines. The app is designed to remain approachable, personal and useful for both communication support and early language learning.
