Virtual Street Museum
An augmented-reality cultural heritage experience that brings historical sites in Athens into the streets through interactive mobile AR.
Project overview
Virtual Street Museum turns Athens into an open cultural experience. Visitors can encounter historical material in context, connecting digital interpretation with the streets and places where the city’s stories unfolded.
Approach
As lead developer, Dimitris Tsoukalos helped translate the curatorial concept into a mobile augmented-reality journey. The work brought together Unity development, spatial interaction and collaboration with the University of Patras, DIPYLON and COMMONSPACE.
