Virtual Street Museum augmented-reality application identity

Project overview

Virtual Street Museum invites visitors to discover historical locations while moving through present-day Athens. The mobile experience adds a digital layer to the streets, connecting cultural information with the places where the city’s stories unfolded.

Approach

As lead developer, Dimitris Tsoukalos translated a shared curatorial vision into an approachable mobile journey. The project brought together Unity development, spatial interaction and collaboration with the University of Patras, DIPYLON and COMMONSPACE.

Experience

The result combines academic knowledge, cultural research and augmented reality in a format visitors can carry with them, turning the city itself into the exhibition space.
